Terms of Use

​It is important that you read and understand the following points before you place an order.  Any order received by Chatways.co.uk is deemed to have been placed after the purchaser has read our Terms & Conditions of Sale, Privacy & Security Policy and Terms of Use.  The placement of an order is deemed as acceptance of the Terms & Conditions of Sale, Privacy & Security Policy and Terms of Use.

The term “Chataways” or “us” or “we” refers to the owner of the Chataways, the www.chataways.co.uk website and any other Chataways branded web pages. The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of our website and/or purchaser of our services or products.

·         Written/email confirmation is required from the client for all provisional and final bookings. Bookings are              finalised only when confirmation is received from Chataways.

·         Full payment is required within 48 hours of an invoice being issued.

·         The client is responsible for all hired equipment, during the course of the Event, Broken, lost or damaged              equipment/linen will be charged at full replacement costs.

·         Chataways confirms that they have and will maintain sufficient Public Liability Insurance for events of the              nature of the booking.

·         All menus may be amended at short notice, subject to availability.

·         Final guest numbers are required 14 days prior to the event.

·         Cancellations will only be accepted in writing and charges are as follows:

·         Cancellation 14 working days or less prior to the event - loss of 50% of total event charge.

·         Chataways reserves the right to increase the cost of any package/menu that has specific dietary                          requirements.

·         Chataways will endeavour to deliver your requirements at the agreed time. We cannot be held responsible            for abnormal traffic conditions or vehicle breakdowns outside of our control, leading to delayed deliveries.

·         Whilst Chataways makes every possible effort to ensure that you have a wonderful event, we cannot be                held legally responsible for external suppliers or for occurrences beyond our control.

·         Where using an external venue, the client will be responsible to the caterer and to the venue owner for the            behaviour of their guests and contractors, and for any damage or additional costs caused to the venue                  owner. Chataways can not and will not be held liable in any way.

·         The client and their guests must comply with all instructions from the caterer, the Venue owner and their              staff.

·         The client must take every precaution for the prevention of accidents to any person. Chataways will not                make good any loss or damage to the property of the client, their guests, their agents or their contractors.

·         For venues booked by Chataways, The client may not have access to the facility in advance of the agreed              time for the function and must have vacated by the agreed time.

·         Any variation from agreed times for the purpose of delivery or collection of goods and materials will only              be permitted if the Venue owner has given the written permission.

​.         We reserve the right to invoice you for any breakages that occur. In the case of mis-matched china tea                  sets the cost will be £1 per item broken. In the case of a full matching trio the cost will be £3 per item                  broken. In the case of contemporary white crockery the cost will be £1 per item. An item is defined as                  either a cup, saucer, or side plate.

·         By signing the booking form and/or processing payment you accept our terms and conditions.
